Google Adsense – Monetizing Your Blog

Google Adsense – Monetizing Your Blog

I am a noob when it comes to building an online business, but I have been learning a lot in the last year and a half. When I created my website, I wasn’t creating it to make money. I wanted a place that I could safely share things I’m passionate about and offer help to anyone who might be going through any similar experiences. Even though I’ve had a website for over a year, I recently found out how easy it is to monetize your blog with Google Adsense

If you’ve been to my website before, you may have noticed that I have advertisements at the top of each page.

This is because I have officially synced my website with Google Adsense. This process was very easy and allows me to make (a very small amount of) money every time someone visits my website. I also make a little from any time someone clicks on a link, and a kickback if someone buys anything from the advertised link.

This was by far the easiest way to start making an income online, and it was free for me to sign up.

If you have a website or a blog, you can also easily sign up and start making money off of your hard work online. I have been trying to figure out how to monetize my website without sponsorships for a while, and I just found out that I didn’t need to have a certain number of e-mail subscribers in order to qualify.

In order to sign up for google adsense, you need to have a monetizable website. (Things like tumblr won’t qualify.) You can also use this same Adsense account to monetize your YouTube channel, granted you qualify for their monetization (1000 subscriber/4000 watch hours.) This makes it very easy to integrate your blog and you vlog if you’re someone like me who wants to do both.

Once you sign up for Google Adsense, the next step will be to put their links in your websites code, and be sure to add it to every page.

If you use wordpress to create your website, this process is very simple. It will actually do all of the work for you after you get the plugin, Site Kit.

After the plugin Site Kit is downloaded, you will have to go through the process of having them verify your Adsense account. When it verifies your account, it will give you the option to allow site kit to add the code to your pages automatically, or you can choose to add the code yourself. I, however, don’t know much about coding; Besides the basics I took during a college course and the faint memory of MySpace coding that had me toying with a six figure income without knowing.

Adding google ads to my website was the easiest way for me to profit from my website and not have to be tech savvy.

I hope this helped anyone who might be thinking about starting a blog or wanting to monetize a blog/website they already have. I could have added Google adsense to my blog a year ago and could have been making money from it this entire time. Building an online income doesn’t have to be hard and tedious to figure out, but it definitely is easier when you have a little help.
